Family Ties: From Past to Present |Chinese American Genealogy Workshop

The Chinese American Museum and the Chinese Family History Group of Southern California Presents

Family Ties: From Past to Present
Chinese American Genealogy Workshop

How do you start your genealogy research? What methods can you employ to conduct your research? How can you find records and documents pertaining to your family? Family Ties: From Past to Present explores methods unique to Chinese Americans who are interested or who have already started their research in uncovering their family history.

Learn from the experience of people who are on this journey to find their family history and how they are passing this on to future generations.

In addition to guest speakers from Arizona, Utah, Northern and Southern California discussing different aspects of Chinese genealogy research, there will also be breakout sessions to assist individuals with translations, interpretations of their jiapu (genealogy books) and advice on locating a village in China.

For past participants, please take our survey going here.
